Polar Plunge

January 1, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Okay Sudden Valley neighbors— you have been asking so lets make this event happen here in our own backyard. No need to go to Padden Lake or drive all the way to Birch Bay. Hope to see many of you there!

Cold plunges can improve blood pressure and insulin sensitivity, as well as decreasing inflammation, improving immunity, and benefitting metabolism.

Non-plunging spectators, kids, and four leg “kids” are welcome to come and watch and to record the moment. Dress warmly in robes or wrap in your towel. Weather forecast shows no rain, light wind with a high of 46°F and a low of 37°F. Lake Whatcom’s surface water temperature is expected to be around 40°F that day.

Costume wearing is encouraged but not needed! All are welcome to come celebrate the New Year day! Hope to see you all there!
