Announcement of new General Manager: Michael Bennett

Michael R. Bennett is an accomplished executive in community association, resort, and hospitality management, with over 25 years of experience in leading upscale, resort-style communities and hotels. Most recently, he served as General Manager of the Lake Almanor Country Club Homeowners Association, encompassing 1,831 properties along California’s 8th largest freshwater lake in the picturesque Sierra Nevada.

Michael’s educational background includes studies in the Administration of Justice at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and four years of undergraduate coursework in Business Administration at California State University, Bakersfield. Throughout his career, he has cultivated high-performance teams at prestigious brands such as Hilton, Sheraton, Marriott, and Intercontinental Hotels and gained international experience as Director of Operations at the Radisson Hotel Narita Airport in Tokyo, Japan.

His journey in community association management began in 1996 at Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort, where he was the Mammoth Mountain Inn resident manager at Chair One—Main Lodge. He played a pivotal role in the pre-opening team. He was later promoted to the opening General Manager of Juniper Springs Resort, the first of several amenity-rich, ski-in, ski-out condominium hotels in Mammoth. M

ichael has held consecutive General Manager positions in four large-scale homeowner associations across California, including Bear Valley Springs Association in Tehachapi, Sun Lakes Country Club near Palm Springs, Silver Lakes Association in the California High Desert, and Coronado Cays Homeowners Association in Coronado. In 2019, he transitioned to Washington as the Director of Community Associations for Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, a role he held until 2023.

Outside of his professional commitments, Michael enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife of 27 years, Young. Michael enjoys playing the saxophone, gardening, fishing, hunting, and dirt bike riding.
