2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) Candidates & Forum Dates
The Nominations & Elections Committee met at 4:45 pm on Tuesday, September 3rd, to open the candidate applications for the 2024 election. There are five (5) candidates for the Board of Directors:
- Rick Asai
- Ray Meador
- Nancy Alyanak
- Taimi Van de Polder
- Tom Henning
There are two (2) candidates for the Architectural Control Committee:
- Allen Helvajian
- Daniel Vink
There are four open Board of Director positions, three open Nominations & Elections Committee positions, and six open Architectural Control Committee Positions.
Candidate Forums will be held:
- Wednesday, October 2 from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
- Sunday, October 13 from 3 PM to 5 PM
- Saturday, October 19 from 3 PM to 5 PM

Pick-Up Coed Soccer
In September and October pick-up coed soccer is being offered on Thursday evenings at 5:45 PM (ages 30+) and Saturdays at 10 AM (all ages).

Trunk or Treat Save the Date!
Sunday, October 26th at 5 PM will be the annual Sudden Valley Trunk-or-Treat held at the recreation corridor parking lot. You can register to have a decorated trunk by emailing office@suddenvalley.com.

Stage 1 Burn Ban
The Whatcom County Fire Marshal’s Office announced the enacting of a Stage 1 Burn Ban, effective from Monday, July 1st, through Saturday, September 14th, 2024. This proactive measure aims to mitigate the risk of fire hazards and protect the community and natural resources. Sudden Valley follows a more restrictive protocol and per our Rules and Regulations, No outdoor fires of any kind will be permitted. Cooking fires such as enclosed BBQs are still permitted.
